Certification process

The certification process begins at the design stage, with the entry of project parameters into EDGE software and the selection of green solutions. EDGE-qualified projects must improve energy, water, and material consumption by at least 20% compared to typical projects in that province/city.

If this level of improvement is achieved, the project will be eligible to apply for certification.

During the certification process, clients submit their applications to EDGE-trained auditors for review at the design and construction stages, as well as on-site inspections. Projects that meet EDGE standards are awarded certification.
